  We bought or dog Holly there a few years ago. She is a Chiweeni. She has been a blessing to us so sweet. Very healthy and playful. A little expensive, but she is worth it. My husband and I have been back to the store quite a few times over the last few years to see if they had another Chiweeni. The staff is always super friendly. The animals are well maintained the store is clean. It is always super busy and they have a great selection of animals. We enjoy looking at the animals and have never seen anything that would make you think they are not cared for. Petland is our favorite place to visit when we go to Strongsville mall.

  We were interested in getting another puppy and wandered into Petland. It was our second time being in there and the first time we looked at an older puppy, he had absolutely no interest in us and just wanted to get out of the enclosure they have for meet and greet. We just figured it wasn't the right dog for us. The second time we went back in, the same ting happened, and the dog kept trying to eat the plastic shopping bags. Now I obviously didn't want the puppy to swallow plastic and after I dislodged the bag from her mouth she them became aggressive torwards me and bit my hand, and continued to try to bite it even after I put it behind my back. I restrained her and waited for the staff to come get her and then she started barking at them but they just said she was throwing a tantrum because she had to go back. They did not understand what aggressive behavior is and didn't even acknowledge the fact that she bit me. As an experienced dog trainer, it is obvious that the staff has no experience working with dogs as far as training goes. I also know that these dogs are not seeing any amount of exercise. They are not being socialized properly, they are getting a lot of socialization but not in a healthy manner. The older pups are completely confused from the manner that the receive treats since treat training is a reward system for good behaviors but there is no behavior being associated with the reward. These dogs need to be moved if they aren't sold. A puppy sitting in that environment for 8 months is causing a host of behavior problems including aggression. That poor dog I saw today is most likely going to be bought by someone that isn't experienced enough to correct these behaviors and will end up being put to sleep for aggression.

  Great service. Great selection. On the expensive side and a little bum that I was forced to buy a huge bag of food for a five pound miniature dachshund who is four months old. Other than that, a great place to find four footed happiness.

  I had the most enjoyable experience at Petland. The employee's were so polite and helpful from the moment I knew my boys and I had made up our minds we were going to purchase/adopt one of the beautiful dogs Petland was caring for. My boys and I fell in love with an Austrian Shephard/Siberian Husky mix, she was so cute and lovable. Petland employee's were prompt in bring the pup to one of the interaction stations and were very prompt and polite in providing all information needed for the purchase of this pup. Thank you Petland for such an enjoyable experience.

  They don't take care of any of the animals. They all show signs of being treated poorly & being sick. Anyone who gives this company money is absolutely sick. The dogs LIVE in FISH TANKS how do some people see this as normal? Adopt don't shop!
